Broken Tooth? Here’s What You Can Do

Broken teeth happen. And when they do, it’s good to be prepared – the first step is to see your dentist as soon as possible, especially to figure out how much damage was caused and what the best plan of action will be. At Southeast Dental we have an array of options to help you with your broken tooth.

Emergency Dental: We know that you can’t predict dental emergencies, and there are times when you need to see a dentist right away. That’s why Southeast Dental provides emergency services. This means that we’re here to see to your dental needs, any time of day or night – no waiting for business hours to deal with your emergencies.

And whether the broken tooth is an emergency or not, these are a few of the optional procedures:

Porcelain Veneers: One option for broken teeth is porcelain veneers, which consist of several thin layers of porcelain bonded directly to the teeth. These work well if the broken tooth is more of a chip or fracture.

Onlays: Made of gold, porcelain or composite resin, onlays can restore the tooth to its regular appearance. These are placed on top of the tooth to cover the areas that are broken or damaged.

Porcelain Crowns: These are used to replace damaged teeth, and act as real teeth once applied. As far as function and appearance these are a great option, even more so than their metal versions which can look out of place.

These and other options are available to you in our dental office in Markham. Southeast Dental has the technology and proper equipment needed to bring your smile to perfection, and our restorative dentistry services ensure that your damaged teeth don’t have to be a permanent problem. For more information on the services listed, or to make an appointment at our dental office, call us at 905-471-2002.
